Definition:
high density silica insulating fire bricks also called siliceous insulation brick. Lightweight refractory material with silicon dioxide above 91% and bulk density below 1.2g/cm3. The refractoriness and softening temperature under load are not much different from ordinary silica bricks with the same composition. However, due to the many pores, the compressive strength, slag resistance, and corrosion resistance are not as good as ordinary silica bricks, but the thermal shock resistance has been improved.

In addition to the thermal insulation properties of Insulating silica bricks, high density silica insulating fire bricks maintains the characteristics of silicon bricks to a large extent. The starting temperature of load softening is high, and the volume expands slightly during the heating process, which enhances the integrity of the kiln. The manufacture of siliceous high density silica insulating fire bricks uses finely pulverized silica as the raw material, adding part of the waste silica bricks or waste siliceous Insulating silica bricks powder, mineralizers and burnout additives. Add water to the mixer according to a certain proportion to mix into a mud, which is formed by mechanical or manual molding. After the brick is dried, the residual moisture is less than 0.5% before it can be loaded into the kiln. In order to prevent the violent volume expansion due to the polycrystalline transformation of SiO2, causing cracks in the product, a slower temperature rise and fall speed are required during firing.
