Corundum Mullite High Strength for Insulating sintered mullite brick is a kind of insulation material adopting organic matter as ignition loss substance in order to increase the porosity of refractory, which has such advantages as high porosity, small volume density, good insulation effect, high mechanical intensity, small thermal conductivity and long service life. For various industrial kilns & furnaces, it is a kind of essential refractory for energy saving and temperature preservation
also known as Corundum Mullite High Strength for Insulating sintered mullite brick . The alumina content of more than 48% , mainly composed of corundum mullite and glass phase or light refractory materials.Volume density of 0.4 ~ 1.35g/cm3 . The porosity is 73% ~ 66% ,the compressive strength is 1 ~ 8MPa .Better thermal shock resistance .
Usually mixing high alumina bauxite plus a small amount of clay ,after grinding with gas or foam to form mud casting ,forming 1300 ~ 1500℃ firing. Sometimes can also be used to replace part of industrial alumina bauxite .
Production process:
Corundum Mullite High Strength for Insulating sintered mullite brick includes five parts: preparation of foaming agent, preparation of foam slurry, molding, drying and firing.
(1) Preparation of foaming agent.
(2) Modulation of foam mud.
(3) Forming.
(4) Dry.
(5) Firing.
