SK38 High Alumina Brick are produced with selected bauxite chamotte by advanced process and strict quality control. The main mineral components are corundum and mullite phases. Its features are excellent high temperature mechanics and chemical corrosion resistance.
If Al2O3 content is higher than 90%, it is called corundum brick. Due to different resources, national standards are not completely consistent. For example, European countries have stipulated that the lower limit of Al2O3 content for high-alumina refractories is 42%. In China, according to the content of Al2O3 in SK38 High Alumina Brick, it is usually divided into three grades: Grade I──Al2O3 content>75%; Grade II──Al2O3 content is 60~75%; Grade III──Al2O3 content is 48~60%.
The production process of SK38 High Alumina Brick and multi-clinker clay bricks are similar.
The difference is that the proportion of clinker in the ingredients is higher, which can be as high as 90-95%.
The clinker needs to be sorted and sieved to remove iron before crushing, and the firing temperature Higher, such as Ⅰ, Ⅱ high alumina bricks are generally 1500~1600℃ when fired in tunnel kiln.
Production practice in China has proved that before crushing, high-aluminum clinker is strictly sorted and classified, and stored in tiers.
The use of bauxite clinker and combined clay fine grinding method can improve product quality.
Production process:
The production methods of SK38 High Alumina Brick and clay bricks are basically the same.
Only some process parameters are different. There are also processes such as crushing → mixing → molding → drying → firing → inspection → packaging.
The compressive stress is better at low temperature, but slightly reduced at high temperature, so the stack in the kiln is less than 1 meter. The production process of high-alumina refractory bricks and multi-clinker clay bricks is similar.
The difference is that the proportion of clinker in the ingredients is higher, which can be as high as 90%-9%. The clinker needs to be sorted and sieved before crushing. The firing temperature is higher. For example, high-alumina refractory bricks such as Ⅰ and Ⅱ are generally 1500~1600℃ when fired in tunnel kiln.
