High Temperature Resistance 2.34 G/Cm3 Silica Refractory Bricks
Definition:
Alumina-Silica Fire Proof Brick belongs to acid refractory material, has good ability of resisting acid slag erosion, the softening temperature of load is as high as 1640 ~ 1670℃, the volume of long-term use is relatively stable under high temperature.
The Alumina-Silica Fire Proof Brick is mainly an acid refractory material composed of scale quartz, calcite and a small amount of residual quartz and glass phase.
The silica content of Alumina-Silica Fire Proof Brick is above 94%.True density 2.35g/cm3.It is resistant to acid slag. Higher high temperature strength. High refractoriness under load. In high temperature for a long time without deformation. Low thermal shock stability. Using natural silica as raw material, with appropriate amount of mineralization agent, to promote the conversion of quartz in the billet to scale quartz.
It is slowly fired at 1350 ~ 1430℃ in reducing atmosphere. When heated to 1450℃, about 1.5~2.2% of the total volume expansion, the residual expansion will make the cut joints close, to ensure that the masonry has good air tightness and structural strength.
Advantage:
The properties of glass kiln silica bricks are:
(1) The volume is stable at high temperature, and the furnace body will not change due to the temperature fluctuation surface. Due to the high load softening temperature of the silica brick and the low creep rate, the glass furnace can keep the furnace body from deformation at 1600℃ and the structure is stable;
(2) No pollution to molten glass. The main component of the silicon brick is SiO2, if there are lumps or surface droplets during use, it will not affect the quality of the molten glass;
(3) Chemical resistance. The silicon brick of the upper structure is corroded by the gas containing R2O in the glass ingredients, and a smooth metamorphic layer is formed on the surface, which reduces the corrosion rate and plays a protective role;
(4) The volume density is small, which can reduce the weight of the furnace body
Application:
Alumina-Silica Fire Proof Brick is mainly used for the partition of coking chamber and combustor of coke making furnace, regenerator chamber and cinder chamber of steelmaking open hearth furnace, soaking pit, refractory material of glass melting furnace and sintering furnace of ceramics and other kiln vault and other load-bearing parts.
It is also used for high temperature load bearing parts of hot blast furnace and acid open hearth furnace top.
Glass kiln silica brick refers to the siliceous refractory products used in the high temperature part of the glass kiln (not in contact with the molten glass).
The pool kiln is a complex masonry made of various refractory materials. Most of its vaults are made of silica bricks, the breast wall, and the small furnace have also all used silica bricks. Since the 1970s, some have been fused with zirconium corundum. Or β-alumina products instead. Some glass kilns also use silica bricks for the vaults and checker bricks of the regenerator.
