Light Weight Silica Insulating Brick are also known as silica insulating bricks. Lightweight refractory with more than 91% silica and a bulk density of less than 1.2 g / cm3. Fire resistance and load softening temperature are not much different from ordinary silicon bricks of the same composition.

 

However, due to the large number of pores, the compressive strength, slag resistance, and corrosion resistance are inferior to ordinary silicon bricks, but the thermal shock resistance is improved.


When using finely divided silica as a raw material, the critical particle size is usually less than 1 mm and 90% or more of particles less than 0.5 mm. Add flammable substances to the material or use the gassing method to form the porous structure obtained by firing. It can also be made of non-combustible material.

 

Light Weight Silica Insulating Brick are mainly used in various parts of the kiln, require insulation or do not come into direct contact with the melt, without the action of positive gases or with abrupt temperature changes Without reducing your own weight. When used at high temperatures, do not come into contact with alkaline refractories. The maximum operating temperature is 1200-1550℃, depending on the material.

Lightweight, Light Weight Silica Insulating Brick have the advantages of high porosity, good thermal insulation, high mechanical strength, low heat resistance fiberboard conductivity and long service life. It has high cold crush strength, size accuracy and currently has the most stable and lowest thermal conductivity of all adiabatic refractory bricks. Its highest insulation castable service temperature is 1350℃. Improve thermal efficiency and working conditions, reduce energy consumption, achieve productivity and important economic results.


Light Weight Silica Insulating Brick have a low bulk density. The total weight and wall thickness of the furnace can be effectively reduced.
It finds wide application in ceramic tunnel kilns, roller kilns, shuttle kilns, coking furnaces in the steel industry and other thermal equipment. Mainly used for lining and insulating layers in areas that are not strongly eroded by high temperature melts. When in direct contact with a flame, the surface contact temperature cannot exceed 1350°C.

 

Advantage:

 

1.The high temperature volume is stable, and the furnace body does not change due to the temperature fluctuation surface. Because the silicon brick has a high load softening temperature and a small creep rate, the glass kiln can keep the furnace body from deforming at 1600 ° C, and the structure is stable.

 

2.No pollution to the glass liquid. The main component of silica brick is SiO2. If it is used, if there is any drop or surface droplet, silica bricks for glass melting furnace will not affect the quality of the glass liquid.

 

3.Resistance to chemical attack. The superstructure silicon brick is eroded by R2O gas in the glass batch, and a smooth metamorphic layer is formed on the surface, which makes the erosion speed lower and protects.

 

4. The bulk density is small, which can reduce the weight of the furnace body
