On November 25, 2023, ANNEC signed a contract with the Italy company Paul Wurth to supply refractories for the core components of three external combustion hot blast stoves, totaling 4350m³, for a steel plant in India.
Paul Wurth is an internationally renowned metallurgical engineering and technology company, having undertaken major blast furnace reconstruction projects for Indian steel companies such as JSW and JSL in recent years. The blast furnace in this project has a capacity of 4350m³ and is equipped with three Coble-style external combustion hot blast stoves. After years of operation, issues such as brick detachment at the connection pipe port, collapse of various openings, and damage to burners have emerged. In the preliminary stages, ANNEC and Paul Wurth engaged in multiple discussions regarding the project's related technologies, drawing optimizations, and more. Paul Wurth's design engineers adopted ANNEC's design optimization suggestions. Ultimately, ANNEC won the bid for the dome section (including connection pipe port assembly bricks), burner section, and high-temperature delivery pipe section refractory supply.
On November 25, 2023, the project manager from Paul Wurth Italy and the head of the procurement department from the Paul Wurth Beijing visited ANNEC. Both parties reached agreements on project drawing delivery, production processes, quality control, product testing, and more. Li Mei, Vice General Manager of the Marketing Company, accompanied the visitors on a tour of Fuliang Company, Fuhua Company, and the Technology Center. Especially after witnessing the pre-assembly of the dome of external combustion hot blast stove of the 5800m³ blast furnace at the Shasteel site, Paul Wurth's representatives highly recognized ANNEC's research and development technology and production capabilities in the field of hot blast stoves of blast furnace. They expressed great expectations for the upcoming launch of ANNEC's facility in Luoyang.
